Canadians looking to find inspiration in their hometowns are sure to find something unexpectedly special on these great cycling routes.

Southeastern Waterfront Trail - Ontario

A favourite for locals, the 780-kilometre Southeastern Waterfront Trail route offers stunning views of the Great Lake Region. This route has additional trails that extend the adventure if you are up for even more of a challenge.

Cabot Trail - Nova Scotia

This route while more challenging and better suited to experienced riders, offers a 5 day  298-kilometre paved route that circles a part of Cape Breton Island and views like no other.

Ridge Road Heritage Trail - Yukon

Set along one of the oldest paths in Yukon, this 33 kilometer trail follows the Klondike Mines Railway and makes of a fabulous cycling weekend trip.

Confederation Trail - Prince Edward Island

This 35 kilometer trail, created over abandoned railway beds, covers a variety of terrain and is a great option for those looking to enjoy the scenery Prince Edward Island has to offer. In total the network has over 435 kilometers of trails.

Kettle Valley Railway Trail - British Columbia

This 650 kilometer trail near Kelowna in British Columbia is a converted railway system that boasts some of the best views of vineyards and orchards in British Columbia.   

The Gulf Islands - British Columbia

The variety of trails is a great feature of the cycling routes in British Columbia’s Gulf Islands. Boasting stunning scenery and beaches, these trails which riders travel between by ferry are a fantastic way to explore British Columbia.

Route Verte - Quebec

Route Verte is a 4,000-kilometre bike path network that meanders from one side of Quebec to the other. This is one of the longest bike trails in Canada goes from one end of the province to the other. One of the most popular parts of the route is referred to as the Blueberry Route which takes riders on a route around Lac Saint-Jean, typically a three to four day route of 256 kilometers.

Viking Trail – Newfoundland & Labrador

A route not for the faint hearted, the 10 day, 489-kilometre trail along the cost of Newfoundland and Labrador takes riders through the Gros Morne National Park leading them towards to L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site. The coastal views along the route are breathtaking and sure to leave a lasting impression!
