ENER-C MULTIVITAMIN

INGREDIENTS

What kind of Vitamin C is in Ener-C?

Ener-C contains 1,000mg of Vitamin C from mineral ascorbates including: Calcium Ascorbate, Zinc Ascorbate, Chromium Ascorbate and Potassium Ascorbate as well as a small amount of ascorbic acid to create effervescence.

What is mineral ascorbate Vitamin C?

All animals produce Vitamin C in their bodies with the exception of human beings, Guinea pigs, and a type of fruit bat. The animals that produce vitamin C naturally produce it in the form of mineral ascorbate. The calcium ascorbate in Ener-C does not change the Ph of your digestive system the way ascorbic acid does, so it is less likely to cause stomach upset than ascorbic acid alone and is known to be more bioavailable.

What do you use to colour Ener-C?

Believe it or not, the bright colours of Ener-C’s different flavours come from real fruit and vegetable juice powders. If you notice small orange dots in the Orange flavour, they are from beta carotene, and the purple tinge in the Tangerine Grapefruit flavour comes from purple sweet potato powder.

What is Ener-C flavoured with?

The tangy and sweet flavours of Ener-C come from Non-GMO real fruit juice powders and a small amount of cane sugar.

Does Ener-C contain GMOs?

No. We are committed to using Non-GMO ingredients in all our flavours. Ener-C is third-party certified Non-GMO through NSF True North.

Why is Ener-C Non-GMO?

A growing body of evidence connects GMOs with environmental damage, and violation of farmers’ and consumers’ rights. More than 60 countries around the world—including Australia, Japan, and all of the countries in the European Union—require GMOs to be labeled. Globally, there are also 300 regions with outright bans on growing GMOs. Increasingly, people are taking matters into their own hands and choosing to opt out of the GMO experiment. We choose Non-GMO ingredients because we believe no one but Mother Earth should “own” the seeds produced by plants.

Does Ener-C contain sugar?

Yes. Both our multivitamin (5g) and our sport formula (1g) contain a small amount of non-GMO cane fructose. The sugar (cane fructose) used in Ener-C is a monosaccharide derived from evaporated sugar cane. It has a low glycemic impact on the body as opposed to the effects of the disaccharide (sucrose/fructose) found in High Fructose Corn Syrup.

Why does Ener-C contain sugar?

The (small amount) of sugar in our multivitamin and sport formulas plays a very important role in helping your body absorb the electrolytes in our formulas for rehydration.

How much sugar is there in Ener-C?

Ener-C contains a small amount of Non-GMO cane fructose. Our multivitamin formula contains 5 grams, which is the equivalent of approximately 1/5 of the amount of sugar found in a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice!

I am on thyroid medication. Can I take Ener-C?

Each sachet of Ener-C contains 150 micrograms iodine (from sea brine) which helps to support normal thyroid function. If you have any serious medical conditions relating to your thyroid or are taking prescription medicines, it is best to discuss with your healthcare professional.

Does Ener-C contain caffeine?

No. Ener-C provides a natural, caffeine-free energy boost with B vitamins, vitamin C, potassium and zinc.

Is Ener-C gluten-free?

Ener-C is completely gluten, wheat and yeast free and made in a dedicated gluten-free facility. However, it is not third-party certified.

Is Ener-C Vegetarian? Vegan?

Yes. Ener-C is both Vegetarian and Vegan.

Is Ener-C certified Kosher or Halal?

No, we are not certified as Kosher or Halal.

Ener-C contains aspartic acid. Is that the same as Aspartame?

Definitely not! Aspartic acid is an amino acid, Aspartame is an artificial sweetener. Aspartic acid is a component of Aspartame but that is where the similarity ends. It would be like saying Hydrogen peroxide (2)HO is similar to water H2O. One is harmful, and one is essential for life although they are very similar in chemical formula. Aspartic acid, also called asparaginic acid, is one of the non-essential amino acids.
"Non-essential" means that our bodies naturally produce it even if we don't get this amino acid from the food we eat. Aspartic acid helps every cell in the body work and plays a role in hormone production and release and normal function of the nervous system. Naturally occurring plant sources of aspartic acid include legumes (soy and garbanzo beans and lentils) and nuts and seeds such as peanuts, almonds, walnuts and flax seeds.

* *Note: Ener-C does not contain any nuts or animal-sourced ingredients in its formulation.

What is silica and why is it in Ener-C?

There are many different forms of Silica. Crystaline Silica is a danger and comes from quartz, which may be why some people are concerned when they see the word “silica”. The Silica in Ener-C comes from diatomaceous earth and provides some health benefit. Once water is added to Ener-C, the Silica becomes Silica Hydrate which neutralizes free radicals helps preserve cellular and molecular integrity and, like other anti-oxidants, scavenges free radicals without becoming one itself. Silica also helps chelate heavy metals from our systems.

Is there anything artificial in Ener-C?

We used natural sourced ingredients wherever we can.
All Ener-C’s ingredients are Non-GMO and naturally-sourced, with the exceptions of the Vitamins B12 (methylcobalamin) and B6 (pyridoxine). There are stringent guidelines for supplements around the presence of heavy metals, and vitamins B6 and B12 generally test above 2 parts per million for their presence, which is not acceptable for our product. Furthermore, food sources for B vitamins such as dairy, fish or other animal sources are not suitable ingredients for Ener-C as we are committed to offering a formula that can be taken by vegetarians and vegans. The small amount of sugar we use in our multivitamin and sport formulas is fair trade, non-GMO evaporated cane sugar source. This is a low glycemic sugar that is a monosaccharide or “simple” sugar that goes through minimal refining.

DIRECTIONS

How do I take Ener-C Multivitamin?

Pour the packet into an empty glass or bottle, add 4-6oz of water (4oz for a stronger taste, 6oz or more for a very mild taste), let it fizz for half a minute and then drink!

When should I take Ener-C Multivitamin?

We suggest taking 1 packet of Ener-C once or twice per day. Because the main source of Vitamin C in Ener-C is mineral ascorbates, there is less chance the product will upset your stomach if you exceed 2 packets per day. If you are feeling dehydrated or ill, you may want to bump up your intake. The electrolytes and B vitamins will help with rehydration and energy, and the zinc may reduce the duration and intensity of symptoms of a cold or flu.

I found a hard packet of Ener-C, is this normal?

Every packet of Ener-C contains natural vitamins and minerals that become effervescent (fizzy) when water is added. Very rarely, we have a packaging failure with one or more of our packets (a weak seal or tiny hole in the packaging) which can allow for a small amount of ambient moisture from the air to enter the packet; causing the powder to harden. If you should come across a packet or packets in which the powder has hardened, we apologize. We always offer 100% guarantee on all of our Ener-C products. The hardened product will not endanger your health, but please email us at info@tryenerc.com so we can investigate the problem and send you some replacement product.

Ener-C Sport

INGREDIENTS

What do electrolytes do and why do we need them?

Electrolytes are important nutrients our bodies need for various functions such as nerve stimulation and balancing the body’s fluid levels. Some of the main electrolytes present in Ener-C sport include magnesium, potassium, calcium and sodium.

When should I take electrolytes?

We all need electrolytes. We lose electrolytes daily through sweat, urination, and from vomiting and diarrhea. Whether you’re exercising, traveling, sitting in the sun or battling the flu, electrolytes are a crucial part of keeping fluid levels balanced and replenishing lost nutrients.

Does Ener-C Sport contain sugar?

Yes. The 1g of non-GMO cane sugar (fructose) in our sport formula plays an essential role in helping your body absorb the electrolytes in our formula. Our formula is based on the World Health Organization’s standards for oral rehydration, which dictate the same ratio of sugar to electrolytes as found in Ener-C Sport.

What is Ener-C Sport flavoured with?

The light, berry-infused taste and colour of Ener-C Sport comes from non-GMO real fruit juice powders and 1g of cane sugar. If you do notice a slightly salty aftertaste, that’s the electrolytes working their magic.

Does Ener-C Sport contain caffeine?

No. The electrolytes such as magnesium and potassium in our Ener-C Sport formula provide a natural, caffeine-free energy boost along with other ingredients such as zinc and glucose.

Why does Ener-C Sport contain glucose?

The addition of glucose improves the absorption of electrolytes and water into the cells. Cells absorb electrolytes through the sodium-potassium pump and sugar (glucose) provides an important source of energy required to make this pump work. Our glucose is sourced from Non-GMO, gluten-free-wheat based starch and is officially called “Codex Wheat Starch”.

Is Ener-C Sport gluten-free?

Yes, Ener-C Sport is completely gluten and yeast-free and made in a dedicated gluten-free facility.

Is Ener-C Sport Vegan?

Yes, Ener-C is Vegan.

Is Ener-C Sport Kosher or Halal?

We are not certified as Kosher.

DIRECTIONS

How do I take Ener-C Sport?

Pour Ener-C sport (1 sachet or 1 scoop from our tub) into a water bottle or large glass, add 16oz of water and stir/shake if water is cold, or allow the product to dissolve on its own.

When should I take Ener-C Sport?

Ener-C sport has a light, subtle taste and is gentle on the stomach. I can be taken before, during or after exercise for energy and improved recovery time. It is also helpful when you have been sick or are simply feeling dehydrated.

ENER-C SUGAR-FREE

INGREDIENTS

Who is Ener-C Sugar-Free good for?

We made Ener-C Sugar Free for you and for those who have removed all sugar from their diets. The small amount of sugar in our multivitamin aids with the absorption of the electrolytes and other minerals. However, for those of you who just can’t even have a tiny amount of sugar, Ener-C sugar free is for you.

What is the difference between the Ener-C original and sugar-free formula?

Ener-C Sugar-Free contains 1,000mg of vitamin C from mineral ascorbates, 5mg of zinc and all the other essential vitamins of our original formula. Both formulas are non-GMO, gluten, dairy and caffeine-free, and are flavoured and coloured with real fruit powders. Other than substituting the small amount of non-GMO cane sugar of our original formula with erythritol and a small amount of stevia, the other difference is the electrolytes. A small amount of sugar is an important component of an effective rehydration formula (it is like the light switch that allows your body to absorb the electrolytes) therefore our sugar-free formula does not contain them. Rather, it was designed as a natural, daily way to boost your immunity and energy.

What is Ener-C Sugar-Free naturally sweetened with?

Ener-C Sugar Free is flavoured and sweetened with real fruit juice powders, and small amounts of the natural sweeteners erythritol and stevia. Stevia is derived from the leaves of the stevia plant. It is considered very safe by all authorities and has no impact on glycemic levels. Erythritol is a fruit-derived alcohol (not that kind!) sweetener and is also very safe. In fact, it is considered the best option from among the sugar-alcohols as it has no effect on the stomach. Also, erythritol has a very fast metabolism rate and is completely out of the body within 24 hours (unlike regular sugar, which can stay in the body for weeks).

Is there anything artificial in Ener-C Sugar-Free?

We use natural sourced ingredients wherever we can. All Ener-C’s ingredients are Non-GMO and naturally-sourced, with the exceptions of the Vitamins B12 (methylcobalamin) and B6 (pyridoxine).
